The things that keep me going! :)

Lately I have been looking at the bad things in my life, and I (and my hubby) thought I should write down the wonderful things I have in my life to kind of forget the bad stuff... My list is not in order from best to worst, or alphabetical, just what comes to my mind... :)
~Being married to my best friend
~My amazing, perfect children (all 5 of them)
~Skyler
~Corbin
~Alyssa
~Levi
~Emma
~Heavenly Father
~In-laws that love me for who I am
~My hubby makes enough money in his job that I don't have to work
~a car that runs
~a nice house
~Able to have a good relationship with Skyler and Corbin's mom
~Skyler is such a good kid!
~Skyler gets good grades
~Corbin is such a big help around the house
~Corbin is such a good big brother
~Alyssa is just like me, she has a huge heart!
~Levi is a very special boy, heavenly father made a special place in my heart just for him
~Emma is my angel
~all of my fun gadgets
~DANNY

I know that there are so many other things that I have in my life that are good! Writing them down has opened my eyes to really look at the good and not the bad. Dwelling over all of the bad things is just going to make my life miserable. For the last few months I have been making my life a living hell by living each day trying to make me and everyone else happy, well I am not she-ra. I can't do everything, but I can realize the things that I do have and live my life with a smile on my face! Face it, I have a pretty amazing life! :)

chicken spaghetti

Here is a recipe that I've made a couple of times that we really like. It comes from the Pioneer Woman.

Ingredients:
2 c. cooked chicken
2 can cream of mushroom soup
2 c grated sharp cheddar cheese (I don't think i used sharp)
1/4 c. finely diced green pepper
1/2 c. finely diced onion
1-4 oz jar diced pimento drained
3 cups dry spaghetti, broken into 2 inch peices
2 cups reserved chicken broth from pot that you cooked chicken in
1 teaspoon Lawry's season salt
1/8 - 1/4 tsp. ceyenne pepper
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 additional cup cheddar cheese for top

Cook 1 cut up fryer and pick out enough meat to make two cups (I just cooked chicken breast or thighs). Cook spaghetti in same chicken broth until al dente. Do not overcook. When spaghetti is cooked, combine with remaining ingredients except additional cup of cheese.

Place mixture in casserole dish and top with remaining cheese. She says you store this for up to 6 months in the freezer (I don't have room in mine!) or cover and store in refrigerator for 2 days or bake immediately and 350 for 45 minutes or until bubbly. If cheese starts to get too done you can cover with tinfoil.

Venting!!!!

Oh my what a day I am having! It really isn't as bad as others but I just want to pull my hair out! It all started with Emma waking up with poop ALL over her crib... She is the kind of baby that doesn't cry when she is messy, so she just sat in it and waited for me to wake up I guess...
Anyway, then I give her a bath and of course Levi has to get in too... Which is fine I guess, it gets it out of the day early.
I come downstairs to get Danny ready for work, like make his lunch and start his truck and stuff that wives do, because husbands aren't capable of doing things like that themselves. They would just go to work and starve to death if it wasn't for us wives. Right?
After I get Danny off to work, I make breakfast for the kids. Then check my facebook while the kids are eating... lol I look on my desk and I realized that I still haven't sent off Corbin's Pen-Pal letter.(I was supposed to send it before Christmas) Sorry Becca!!! So now it is a little outdated so I am going to have Corbin write a new one. I am sick to my stomach at this point. I feel horrible!
My mom calls me a little later and her dog Charlie that my brother and I grew up with has died this morning. I was very sad. So now I get to tell my children that their favorite dog has died... Wow what a wonderful way start to a day!
I get Alyssa off to school and turn cartoons on for the babies, so I can get the house cleaning done. Which is a never ending story! I have been trying to get it done, and it seems like I am going backwards. When I am putting clothes away, I come back to the living room and Emma has thrown all of my folded clothes all over the living room. I am tempted to just jam everything into my closet and dresser not folded because I have to fold them three times just to get them in there...
After that I vacuum the living room, and as I am putting the vacuum away Emma has gotten a whole bag of Goldfish and is doing a rain dance on them trying to jam them into the carpet. Oh my I could go on and on! When Alyssa gets home from school it takes me hours to get her to do her homework and by the time she gets it done it is time for her to go to bed. I wish she would just get it done when I ask her to so she can spend some time with the family. She literally has 5 minutes of homework... Drives me crazy.
Why do they do the things they do? Why do they put the dirty silverware away in the silverware drawer? Why do the kids throw all my dishes and silverware away in the trash? Why do they jam Goldfish in the carpet? Why do they poop in the crib and rub it all over the bars and pillow and walls? Why does Levi tell me no on everything?
Why?
Because they are my little blessings. This is Heavenly Fathers way of making me stronger and a better mommy. I love my family even on days like today. I am so blessed to have what I do, and I know that it could be way worse.
I am proud of everyone in my family! I love you guys very much!

Love Always,
Mommy

Update on our family

I know it is a little late but, better late than never, right? Our family has been doing great! Danny got a promotion at the beginning of the year, he is "Dan, Dan the Safety man". He loved driving new trucks but now he is really enjoying driving new pick-up trucks... He is working on a very important job for RNI right now, He is working very hard. He did take a pretty big pay cut but I think it is totally worth having him home every night at a decent hour and home every weekend. He has worked very hard to be where he is right now. I am very proud of him!
My life hasn't changed much in the last year. Just taking care of babies, and cleaning house. The story of my life.
Skyler is doing so well. I can't believe he is almost 14. Crazy! If you didn't know the boys are living with us half of the time. Since we have been doing this, Skyler's grades have been amazing, he is getting all A's and B's... We are so very proud of him. He started playing the guitar this year and he is a natural. He is amazing. This Christmas he was playing Christmas songs for us around the tree. It was very special!
Corbin is doing just as well. He just turned 10 in December. It seems just like yesterday when I met Danny and he was just 14 months old... He is so good with his little brother and sister Levi and Emma. He is going to make a wonderful daddy one day.
Alyssa is such an angel. She is in the first grade this year and she loves going to school. On the weekends she is asking when she can go back to school to see her friends and learn. She just started a dance and singing class called Sunshine Generation. It is so much fun. She just loves to sing and dance.
Levi is an amazing child. He is definitely here in our lives for a reason. Whether it is to drive us crazy or melt our hearts, he does both. Him and Emma are the best of friends, they are blessed to have each other. Levi is really starting to talk. Now that he knows that he can communicate better he is such a little jabber mouth! We love him so very much!
Emma is getting so big. She is almost 1 1/2 years old. She is already so mature in her own ways and she is almost talking as well as Levi. (they are 17 months apart) Sometimes it feels like I have twins. She just learned how to say I love you!. It is so special, She will look at you and say "I YOU" Oh I love her so much!
Well that is everyone. We are so blessed, and I thank my Heavenly Father every day for the blessings he has given us. Wow what an amazing life we have.
